Beg to inform the public that, having purchased the business lately carried on by Mr James Wilson, 64 Liverpool Street, Hobart, it will henceforward be under the management of Mr S P Lawrence, who has had a large and varied experience in the Australian Colonies, and trust they will still continue to afford us a fair share of their support.

September 1895: Series of sales held at the Liverpool Street premises to dispose of all stock due to the company winding up. In May 1896, the business announced they would no longer be closing, and assistant manager Richard Blanchard would fill the vacancy left by Samuel Lawrence’s retirement.

March 1897: Advertised special attention given to repairs and selling English, Swiss and American watches, jewellery, and electro-plated ware.

Approx. January 1908: Richard Blanchard sold the business to George Whitfield, watchmaker and jeweller.
