December 1869: Charged with unlawfully playing a game of chance at the Regatta Ground, Queen’s Domain, Hobart. Despite claiming he had paid the Regatta Committee £5 for the stand and pleading not guilty, Isaac was sentenced to ten days imprisonment.

Cornwall Chronicle 24 May 1871:
‘Notice. If Isaac Simmons, watchmaker, late of Latrobe, does not claim the watches left in my charge whilst steward of the p.s. Annie, within three weeks of this date, they will be sold to defray expenses. Wm. Bishop, Esplanade, Launceston.’

Relocated to New South Wales, where Ellen died in 1919 and Isaac in 1926.
