August 1853: John Williams, charged with stealing watches and jewellery from Thomas’s premises.
September 1855: Sentenced to two years with hard labour in H.M. Gaol, Hobart Town, for assaulting, stabbing, and wounding a man.

Cause of death: Accidental death caused by the kick of a horse on 12 December 1863.
