December 1875: Sold his business at 52 Murray Street to Mr W Golding (late of Barclays).

1876: Moved back to Melbourne.
Edward’s sons followed in their father’s trade; George remained in Hobart, and Charles Edward, John Otway, and Frederick Edward worked in Victoria.
