4 February 1946: Opened business, 87 St John Street, Launceston (Modern Watch Repair Service), and later moved to 59 Brisbane Street near the Princess Theatre. October 1952: Reginald suffered superficial burns on his neck and arm when his repair shop caught alight. A spark from a vacuum cleaner set spilled cleaning fluid alight, causing the fire.
