As an ex-serviceman, he began training in subsidized employment with Mr H F Sargison on 20 February 1946. He was assessed as 100 percent proficient on September 29 last. Mr Phillips did all his training in Mr Sargison’s establishment and will remain with him now that he is qualified in his trade.’
