Suffolk Chronicle 12 August 1826:
‘The wife of Francis Pallant, a young woman in a state of pregnancy, died yesterday with a broken heart. Such are the consequences of crime.’

Several offences are recorded on his conduct record, including rudeness, refusing to obey to his master’s orders, indecent exposure, and being out after hours.
He was punished on two occasions with 50 lashes.
