Other | From approx. 1899: Watchmaker and jeweller, Beechworth, Victoria. Approx. 1903-1908: Worked in his trade at Maldon in Victoria. In February 1908, Horace resigned as brass-major in the Maldon Brass Band. The following month, he closed his business, advised repair work could be collected from his private residence, and left Maldon, bound for Zeehan, Tasmania. Horace managed Whitfield’s at Zeehan until about mid-1910, when Ernest Hodgkinson returned and took ownership of the business. By August 1910, he had left Zeehan and returned to Victoria. |
