1908: Moved to new premises in Stanley, previously occupied by watchmaker and jeweller Mr O C Dyer.

January 1910: Advertised watches left with him for repair could be collected from W L Feutrill, storekeeper, and advised he was departing Stanley.

November 1914: Burglary of jewellery at Waratah.

After Albert’s death, his four children spent under two years as wards of the state and returned to their mother in 1927.

Zeehan and Dundas Herald 1 May 1919:
‘OBITUARY. After a long illness Mr A G Halfhide passed away shortly before midnight on Monday. His death, although expected, nevertheless coming as a great shock. The deceased gentleman had been a respected resident of the town for ten years, carrying on a business in Main Street during that period. The heartfelt sympathy of all goes out to his wife and young family.’
