Allan was also the agent for Breitling and Orfina wrist watches. He was affectionately known as Tick Tock by the indigenous population. 1977: Returned to Tasmania, set up a boutique store in Devonport (Fay’s Timepieces) and specialised exclusively in clocks and watches. The business expanded into Fay’s Jewellers. 2021: Two of Allan and Margaret’s children, Stirling and Andrina, owned the business.
