1921: Sold Queenstown business to Viv Bartle and remained as manager until 1928.

October 1928: Bearup and Churcher, Launceston, announced the dissolution of their partnership ‘after 10 years of successful business.’

1928: Edgar purchased Edgar Keen’s business in Stewart Street, Devonport (Churcher’s Jewellers).

1940s and 1950s: Foundation member, Vice President, and life member of the Tasmanian Branch of the Horological Guild of Australasia.

August 1954: Named Man of the Month in The Jeweller and Watchmaker trade magazine.
